Same Sky Supports STEM Outreach as FIRST® Robotics Supplier

12/16/2025

Same Sky today announced its support of FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), an international, K-12 not-for-profit organization founded to inspire young people’s interest and participation in science and technology.

Same Sky has been a long-time supporter of the First Robotics Competition. This year, the company donated its innovative AMT103-V encoder kits and accessories as a part of the FIRST Choice program, where the AMT encoder kits and parts are made available to over 3,500 teams of high-school students. With thousands of participants worldwide each year, the FIRST Robotics Competition aims to get students involved in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math. The 2025-2026 robotics season, titled FIRST® AGE™ and inspired by archaeology, kicks off on January 10, 2026, and concludes with the FIRST Championship event in Houston from April 29 to May 2, 2026.

“We’re proud to continue our support of FIRST and the FIRST Robotics Competition this year,” said Jeff Smoot, VP of Engineering at Same Sky. “FIRST’s commitment to inspiring the next generation of engineers strongly reflects our own values, and we’re excited to see students grow, compete, and succeed both this season and beyond.”
